How to use this calculator

Enter your buy and sell price, quantity, and whether it's a delivery or intraday trade. The tool adds up every charge and shows your net profit after costs — and the breakeven move, the rise needed just to cover the bill.

What the charges are

  • Brokerage — your broker's fee. Often ₹0 on delivery with discount brokers, ~₹20 per order on intraday/F&O.
  • STT — a government tax: 0.1% on buy and sell for delivery; 0.025% on the sell side for intraday.
  • Exchange + SEBI fees — small charges on turnover.
  • GST — 18% on (brokerage + exchange + SEBI fees).
  • Stamp duty — 0.015% on buy for delivery (0.003% intraday).
  • DP charges — a flat fee (~₹15) when you sell from your demat (delivery only).

How to read it

Notice the breakeven move: a frequent trader pays these costs on every round trip, so each trade must first clear its own bill before you earn a rupee. That's a big, quiet drag on active trading — and a reason patient investors keep more of their returns.
